STAR WARS Zero Company Customization
Customization applies to both Hawks and the wider roster: you can shape the player character, create custom Operators, and rework many combat roles through Specializations.
Customizing Hawks
Hawks is not locked to one fixed appearance. The verified material describes options for gender, species, appearance, voice, clothing, and combat direction, letting the campaign lead reflect the player rather than a single preset protagonist.
Creating custom Operators
The roster combines authored story companions with custom Operators. Custom recruits can be created and hired through The Den, including humanoid characters and astromech droids. Their appearance and Specialization choices give you room to fill tactical gaps in the squad.
Changing combat roles
Customization is not only cosmetic. Standard Specializations can be changed and allocated points can be refunded, while later progression can unlock a second Specialization. This makes it possible to rebuild a favorite character around a different battlefield role without replacing them entirely.
Authored characters still keep their identity
Story companions retain their names, personalities, unique talents, and narrative roles even when their combat setup is adjusted. That is the main distinction between changing a character's build and turning them into a fully generic recruit.
The Den is the customization hub
Between missions, The Den supports recruitment, Operator management, gear preparation, Bonds, Injury treatment, and facility upgrades. Use it as the place to review the whole squad instead of changing one character in isolation.
