STAR WARS Zero Company Intel

Intel is a strategic resource spent on Operations at The Den’s Holotable, and it can be earned through missions and information gathered during the campaign.

What Intel is for

Intel is used to undertake Operations, the non-combat assignments shown on the Galaxy Map. Spending Intel can open opportunities that reward items, Credits, influence, narrative information, or additional missions.

How to get Intel

The verified official guide material says Intel can come from completing missions and obtaining information. One example is using Hawks' PICO-5 electroscope while scouting in the field, which can reward Intel before or around a combat encounter.

Intel vs Tactical Missions

Operations and Tactical Missions are different parts of the same cycle. Operations take place on the strategic map and do not require tactical combat. Tactical Missions deploy the squad into the turn-based battlefield and can also provide Intel or other resources.

Why Intel matters

You cannot complete every available activity, so Intel is part of the campaign's opportunity-cost system. Spending it on one Operation may produce rewards or open new options, but the clock continues to move and other missions can expire.

A good rule is to check the Holotable before spending Intel: prioritize Operations that support the squad's immediate needs or unlock useful follow-up work instead of treating every Operation as mandatory.
