STAR WARS Zero Company Guide
Build every turn around your three Action Points, keep Operators in useful cover, and spend Advantage on high-impact abilities instead of treating it like a passive bonus.
Start with the three-AP economy
Each Operator normally gets three Action Points per turn. Movement, attacks, Overwatch, utilities, and abilities compete for that same budget, so decide what the turn must accomplish before spending the first point. A safe pattern is to secure position first, then attack or reserve actions for Overwatch when the battlefield calls for it.
Use cover, flanking, and high ground together
Cover is important, but it is not the whole defensive system. Flanking and elevation improve your offensive options, while destructible cover means a position that is safe now may not stay safe. Scan the battlefield before committing the squad and avoid moving everyone into the same exposed lane.
Build Advantage on purpose
Advantage is a shared squad resource used for stronger tactical plays. Scouts are especially useful for feeding that resource, while low-cost actions and coordinated kills can help create the tempo needed for ultimates and other powerful abilities. The key is to plan the sequence of actions rather than spending Advantage as soon as it appears.
Give every Operator a job
The standard Specializations cover different tactical needs, including frontline durability, ranged damage, support, scouting, and healing. You can change Specializations and later combine two of them, so early choices do not need to lock the squad into one permanent setup. Use the first missions to learn which roles your preferred Operators perform best.
Treat The Den as part of the campaign
Between battles, The Den is where you recruit and customize Operators, manage Bonds, treat Injuries, improve facilities, buy gear, and choose work from the Galaxy Map. A strong combat squad can still fall behind if injuries, equipment, and campaign resources are ignored between missions.
Beginner priorities
- Keep at least one reliable source of healing or utility in the squad.
- Leave room for defensive positioning instead of spending every AP on damage.
- Build around complementary roles rather than four independent damage dealers.
- Review Injuries and available Operations before committing to the next Tactical Mission.
- Experiment with Specializations before investing too heavily in one squad concept.
